The final days of the Win Big Live Big Sweepstakes are upon us. Lennar and Village Builders, a part of one of the nation’s leading home builders, is offering the chance to win the biggest jackpot in its history with a grand prize package worth $500,000.

Lennar is making summer home buying a little bit more exciting with a special incentive that enables buyers to choose between three generous options when purchasing their new home.

The New Caney Independent School District, which serves school-age children living in Oakhurst at Kingwood, has a new Superintendent. In May, the New Caney Independent School District Board of Trustees hired Kenn K. Franklin, to be the new superintendent and on June 1, his new position was in effect.
Prior to joining the New Caney district, Franklin was superintendent of Marshall ISD since 2005 and before that, he was the superintendent of Marfa ISD. He has a total of 21 years of experience in education including six years as a teacher/coach and 15 years as an administrator in other districts including Tyler ISD, Athens ISD, and Dallas ISD. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree, Masters of Education degree, and superintendent certification from University of Texas at Tyler.
